Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in sour cream until dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough and place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Mix apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar and spread over the dough.
  7. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling.
  8. Brush with egg wash and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Let cool before serving.
