Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake Recipe: A Flavor-packed Twist On Sushi

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori seaweed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. While the rice is cooking, prepare the salmon. Place the salmon fillet in a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. Once the salmon is cooked, flake it into a bowl and mix with mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions.
  5. When the rice is done, spread it evenly in the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Top the rice with the salmon mixture, spreading it evenly.
  7. Crumble the nori sheet over the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Bake for 10-15 minutes until heated through.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Great for meal prep and can be enjoyed warm or cold.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha according to your spice preference.
