Ingredients

  • 400 grams spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red chili pepper, chopped
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and chili pepper, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Add spaghetti and enough water to cover, cooking until the pasta absorbs the sauce.
  5. Stir frequently to prevent sticking, adding more water as needed.
  6. Once cooked, remove from heat and mix in fresh basil and parmesan cheese.
  7. Serve immediately with additional cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more chili pepper.
  • Can substitute spaghetti with another pasta of choice.
