  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the pumpkin puree and eggs until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cookies cool on a wire rack.
  9. For frosting, beat together the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
  10. Spread frosting over cooled cookies.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add chocolate chips to the cookie dough.
