Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, melt butter and mix with sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, combining well.
  5. Add the red food coloring to the brownie batter and mix thoroughly.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and egg until smooth.
  7. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spread evenly.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the batter.
  9. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top, swirling it gently.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before slicing into squares.
