Pasta alla sorrentina

A comforting and cheesy pasta dish that’s perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 400 grams pasta (preferably penne)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, ricotta cheese, marinara sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
