- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and then add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the heavy cream to create a smooth batter.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
- Add a tablespoon of caramel sauce on top of each muffin batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
