  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and then add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the heavy cream to create a smooth batter.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
  7. Add a tablespoon of caramel sauce on top of each muffin batter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra caramel sauce, drizzle on top after baking.
  • These muffins are best served warm.
