  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (frozen or fresh)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken thighs and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  3. Pour in the honey BBQ sauce and stir to coat the chicken.
  4. Add rice and chicken broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  6. Stir in mixed vegetables and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff with a fork and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add chili powder to the chicken seasoning.
