Greek Turkey Meatballs with Tzatziki

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 small cucumber, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, oregano, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. To make tzatziki, combine yogurt, grated cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl.
  6. Serve meatballs with tzatziki on the side.

Notes

  • For added flavor, let the meat mixture rest for 30 minutes before forming the meatballs.
  • These meatballs can also be grilled for a different taste.
