  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar mixture (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  7. Roll the dough into balls and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
  9. Let cool before serving.
